Paul Dano is awesome

Just wanted to pop on to say that Paul Dano is one of the best actors working today. I don't know why certain obnoxious directors feel compelled to shit on a fantastic actor who always brings his all to every role, but it's completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Not to mention that, as a director, Paul doesn't feel compelled to cast himself in every movie just so he can get away with saying slurs. He also doesn't drool all over women's feet or choke women on camera, and he wasn't Harvey Weinstein's bff for decades. Paul also never defended Roman Polanski's sexual assault of a child. In fact, by every perspective I can find, Paul is a kind and decent guy who brings a level of craft to acting that Quentin Tarantino apparently can't comprehend.

Paul's performance in There Will Be Blood was incredible, and he held his own against one of the best to ever do it.

When Paul was cast as The Riddler, he didn't just get into character; he wrote an entire backstory and published it as a comic through DC Comics.

That was on top of the creepy and compelling performance he gave in that role. He was exactly what the character called for, and was just as intense, sinister, and fascinating as any actor could have been.

If you're still not convinced that Paul Dano is one of the best we've got, watch this scene from Little Miss Sunshine, and if your heart doesn't break for him, then I don't know what else I can tell you.
